Analogue and Digital Measurements (A&DM) was founded in 1976 in Seaford, Victoria.
Ted Parrott, Company Principal, commenced operations drawing on experiences gained from many years in the industry.
Since then the company has grown in size and experiences to the present day.
The scope of work presently carried out by Analogue & Digital Measurements varies from the manufacture of Radiation Source Holders, Transport Containers, Disposal Capsules, Repository Containers, supply of Installation, Commissioning, Transport, Movement, and Decommissioning Labour through to the supply of Industrial and Laboratory Radiation Systems.
Analogue & Digital Measurements carries out the design and manufacture of:
Analogue & Digital Measurements' Industrial Source Holders, exceed the requirements of the Code of Practice and are approved for use in Australia, New Zealand, New Guinea and India.
Analogue & Digital Measurements is a major participant in the decommissioning of old systems and the safe transportation of Source Holders, downloading of the capsules, and the channeling into reprocessing or disposal of the isotope. To accommodate materials with, out of date Special Form Certificates or leaking sources, we are in the process of having a Special Form Disposal Capsule approved to ISO2919 66646 Performance Standard.
We have access to a variety of B(U) Transport Containers for the movement of large sources. However with the implementation of the 1996 Codes, a large number of devices can no longer be moved due to the cancellation of, or non-renewal of Competent Authority Certification. Analogue & Digital Measurements is currently in the process of solving this problem with a new series of Type B(U) Transport Containers.
Analogue & Digital Measurements is Licenced in all states of Australia to Sell and Service Equipment containing Radioactive Isotopes. Our licensing in most states allows us to handle source sizes to 25,000Ci of 60Co and 10,000 Ci of 137Cs, and covers all isotopes in encapsulation form and alpha foils.
A cross section of the equipment we have designed, installed, commissioned and service include:
We carry out On-Site Wipe Testing and Surveys, the Analysis of the Wipe and the issuing of a Certificate is done immediately.
As we own our Building, we have a stable locality where we provide correctly supervised Isotope storage space to companies that do not have an appropriate environment.
We are in the process of building a Survey Meter Calibration System, which should be on line late 2005.
We have carried out factory training at:
Large devices for which we have experience include:
We represent the following companies for the supply of Sources
Analogue & Digital Measurements has ( through our past associated company A.D.M. Nuclear ) extensive knowledge and experience with the products manufactured by the following companies.
Analogue & Digital Measurements provide our clients with the Technical Assistance they require to produce their Radiation Management Plans, carry out their Annual Audit of Materials and confirm their Compliance with their internal procedures.
We have Three Licensed Electronics Engineers on staff, all of whom are competent in our range of products and services, we have been associated with the design, manufacture, installation commissioning and maintenance of Radiation Detection And Measuring equipment since 1962.
Copies of licenses for Victoria, NSW, Tasmania, Northern Territory, Western Australia and New Zealand can be provided on request.
